Album Idea
This is an idea of the back cover of the album, we aren't defiantly going to be using this idea but it gives us a general idea of what we are wanting for the album cover. It looks really effective with the writing on top of the beach image and it's quite an iconic image for our artist as we have used the beach scene throughout our filming and images.
It's okay - the image is nice and the composition (with a couple of tweaks) would work. You need to think about the overall mood/ look of the advert (for example, the colours as well as the mood/ tone - is it all going to be seaside imagery? How does it compare to other CD covers you've seen? I would also look at the conventions of back covers (for example, the (c) info etc.) to think about how that might look.
ReplyDeleteYeah as when looking at your video, how will you be able to tell that is matches the album too? As you want to convey the sad, lonely feel in the video so maybe incorporate the more deary/depression atmosphere with the black and white shots (the shot of the rocks actually for some reason interested me, don't really know why)and with all the hassle of the lonely red balloon effect, not interested in somehow putting that in the cover/digipack as its a requiring element in the video so why not in the album art? Even if as the colour scheme, it would look different and easy to relate to the other parts of the project, that one part like the "branding" as it where which is seen throughout.
