Location photos
Ellie went to take pictures of the location on Monday night so we have an idea of different areas of the beach we can use. The top 5 pictures show the place we are planning on using in our first few shots of our main character walking up, it will show the beginning of the beach scenes, it's a really nice place of the beach and hopefully the weather will be as good as it was when the pictures were taken so we can get shots of the sun and clear skies. Ellie looked for a near by bench which we wanted to include in the video of her sitting down and looking quite isolated, there's wasn't a one near the beach so we have decided that a shot on the sand dunes would be a nice shot and make her look even more iscolated. With the sand dune being up a height we will get some effective shots using high angle and low angle shots looking up at her or looking down at the sea. We want to take several shots of the waves splashing in on the beach and the pictures above really show some good shots which we are hoping to include.

This is quite effective; you might want to consider the symbolism as much as anything (the connotations of the shore; the implications of the sea). Make sure you get hold of the storyboard scans from Ellie. Remember - you should aim to use the full capability of the blog. Also, I think you should make sure that you are checking/ commenting on the blogs of the other members of the group in order to make sure you are up to speed with their thinking. Remember - all the planning should be locked by the end of the week; you should really be into production ASAP, so make sure all of your documentation (call sheets, schedules etc.) are uploaded ASAP.
ReplyDeleteHope the shooting has come together - a progress report would be good. If you have the time, it would also be useful to create an animatic - a storyboard edited to the music you're using - in order to demonstrate your thinking in 3 dimensions, as it were. Don't forget - you should be blogging throughout the process.
