Looking at the artists logos in our genre its really common that they don't really have a image as their logo but just really recognisable title. All the artists/bands i have looked at have a bold title and really stands out to the audience and matches their style of music, because of the artists we have looked at using a recognisable title we think by adding an image to our logo will make our artist a bit more unique and slightly different to the indie pop artists we have focused on in our research, but still staying with the theme. We want the red balloon to be our symbol throughout the different products we create and we think it'll be something the audience will remember.
Eliza's logo stands out a lot because of the style of writing, it makes her more recognisable because of the style of writing she uses. The use of making it big and bold really makes it stand out on the album cover as the image is really bold and loud and the logo being big and bold really stands out above the image on the album and draws the audience's eyes to whose album it is. The writing is really fun which matches the style of the artist and the music she produces.
Lana Del Rey's logo matches her style showing she is very sophisticated and old fashioned with her style of fashion and music. The writing is very simple but also stands out to the audience and draws their eyes to the name of the artist. The text is really nice as it is very feminine and classy which matches the artist really well. By looking at the text we can see already that its quite a sophisticated singer before you would even seen an image of her.
The Kooks logo is also again very simple with bold capital letters which stands out to the audience straight away. On the album covers we see most of the band name in the corner or small on the album cover, but with the size and placement of the logo it still works making it stand out and catch the audience's eye. The use of changing the colour fits with the album cover image instead of letting it blend in with the images. Its important to keep the same font throughout the different products because it becomes a trademark of the artist and it's easily recognisable when you see it somewhere.
