Advert ideas

We got the idea of the four separate images from the image above but also from our research of previous bands adverts, the Mumford and Sons advert which they used four separate images, we thought this was a good idea for us and would look good. We have used four images which link altogether and link to our music video and also links to indie pop genre with the main theme of landscape. Again we used inspiration from one of the images we took during filming our music video. We like the idea of postcards and the oval with the image in the centre  we think this is effective and we like the layout of the image which is associated with the seaside. We realised when we made the first idea with the four images that it was landscape and we need to do it portrait so we had to do another design idea.

This is a rough copy of an idea we think would be a successful advert with a little more work to it. We used more of the landscape images to make the advert fuller with less empty space. We made the images black and white because we wanted the centre image which is the album cover image to stand out on top of them. By making them black and white it makes it iconic as it links to the black and white scenes in our video. However, when making the final product we need to ensure we blend the images or feather the coloured image so it doesn't look disconnected from the rest of the advert. The text needs to be edited slightly but I like the fact it bends around the image.
