Coldplay Advert

The coldplay advert is for their new album 'Mylo-oxyl-oto' is very eye catching and is very different to the other adverts we have looked at, this is quite simple compared to others we have looked out but even though it is simple it still works. The advert is basically a blown up version of their album cover which makes it reconisable to the audience when they go and buy the product. However, despite the simple looking advert, when you look close enough to the background it is made up of little drawings and writing which all link to the recent album and songs. The title of the album is centre of the advert drawing the audience's eye's straight away but it is quite hard to read which i think was their aim when making the advert, it makes the audience have to look closer to the advert to see what coldplay are actually advertising, the white outline gives it a bold outline making it slightly stand out above the bold colourful background. The advert links to the cd cover and the photos inside the digi-pak making this all reconisable to the audience and linking everything together. When making our own digi-pak and advert we want to make everything to link together because with the research we have done most of the artist's have done this.
